Trouble Sleeping??

Ever since my first surgery I’ve had trouble sleeping through the night (or just getting to sleep for that matter!) I used to take over the counter things like AdvilPM or TylenolPM but they didn’t always work for me and I would find myself needing to take a higher dosage as time passed. I talked with my PCP about this and he suggested Melatonin. I don’t remember ever hearing about it before, and found that it was over the counter and not expensive at all. I tried it that night and I’ve slept like a baby ever since! I wake up feeling really rested…I wish I had known about this sooner. To be clear…I don’t feel that it makes me sleepy, but when I fall asleep I sleep well. That’s something that I’ve been missing for so long! I’m posting this here so that you can talk to your doc about taking it if you’re having the same trouble as I was. Maybe it’s not  for you but you won’t know until you ask. …..side note….I found a strawberry flavored Melatonin gummy at my local supermarket! Yay 🙂 Not having to add another pill to my daily routine is great!

Smelly Ostomy Bag?

This Worked for Me!

I have used DEVROM capsules for years now. I prefer the ones you swallow to the chewables. I take the recommended amount every day (no skipping) and I can empty the contents of my ostomy with no fear. This is a huge deal!  It took about 4 days after I started them before they kicked in and I can tell if I miss even 1 dose. Click here to read up on Devrom.
I recently tried Devko and really liked that as well. I don’t need to take both, but sometimes I can’t have anything by mouth so this was a great backup. I haven’t tried it without the Devrom so I don’t know if it can take most of the smell away on it’s own. If I try it I’ll post 🙂
By the way…I don’t work for Devrom or any other company.  I just found something that works and wish someone had told me about it sooner!
